Adrianna

Meet Adrianna...

Position: Head Guide

Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

She loves adventuring outdoors and is passionate about serving people. Currently training a Border Collie for search and rescue and participating in technical rope and swift water classes across the country are just a few of the ways she has chosen to help people. Adrianna enjoys climbing and can be found humming or singing on a rock wall in any free time she has!

Fun Fact: Thanks to COVID-19, Adrianna was able to watch her college graduation ceremony from Castleton Tower!

Alex

Meet Alex...

Position: Guide

Favorite Verse: Isaiah 43:2 - When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

An avid climber, he has climbed the face of Half Dome as well as many other epic ascents and spent numerous hours working with people as they develop their climbing skills. When he isn’t climbing, he enjoys whitewater kayaking/rafting, mountain biking, trail running, paragliding, kiteboarding, SCUBA diving, backcountry skiing and has been trained in avalanche rescue. Alex currently volunteers as a firefighter, assists with teaching EMT classes, and will be headed to medical school in the near future.

Fun Fact: Alex travels the world in pursuit of perfect paragliding conditions.

Meet Brian...

Position: Guide

Favorite Scripture Passage: 1 Corinthians 13

He loves anything outdoors, especially if it involves mountains or water! You will be likely find him with his family and friends rock climbing (inside or outside), mountain biking, mountain climbing, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, or windsurfing. Brian loves to serve people through his work as a Physical Therapist and is actively involved in helping youth get out and experience the joys of nature.

Fun Fact: When Brian was a kid, he swam more than he walked, and he walked a lot.

Grant

Meet Grant...

Position: Guide

Favorite Verse: Psalm 145:5 - I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

First introduced to the outdoors riding in his parent’s backpack while ski touring and climbing mountains, Grant is partial to vertical sports on the rock but also loves the thrill of ice climbing, rafting, mountain biking, ski mountaineering, spelunking, and anything that allows him to spend time with his Creator! When stuck inside, he loves teaching others how to climb at a gym and empowering them to recreate safely. Grant has volunteered for a number of years with search and rescue and responded to numerous emergencies. He is finishing his degree in mechanical engineering which he hopes to use in a humanitarian capacity to improve people’s lives, as well as a creative way to design climbing gear.

Fun Facts: Grant has two different colored eyes and has done a first ascent in Yosemite National Park!

Kiera

Meet Kiera...

Position: Guide

Favorite Verse: Romans 8:31 - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

If someone rides by you on a unicycle, it’s probably Kiera. Outdoor adventurer to the core, you will most likely meet her climbing at a crag, running a river, or backpacking a remote area of the world. Recently she served as an expedition leader for a large group backpacking up the tallest mountain in Malawi, Africa. Having earned her Bachelors of International Rescue and Relief this May, Kiera plans to use her skills in rescue, relief, leadership, and emergency medicine to help people around the world.

Fun Fact: Kiera won a $100 contest riding her unicycle and considers portaledges (a sleeping platform used for big climbs) the epitome of happiness.

Madeline

Meet Madeline...

Position: Guide

Favorite Verse: Psalm 71:14 - But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

Don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you. Madeline is an accomplished outdoors-woman who loves exploring. Mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, canyoneering, white water rafting, and sky diving are among her favorite activities not to mention any other sport that involves flying. She can make a delicious meal out of the most ordinary ingredients and has an enthusiasm for adventure that is contagious. Madeline has spent a significant amount of time volunteering around the world where she has participated in rural medical clinics and cared for young children. Travel is also one of Madeline’s passions. She spent a semester studying abroad in college and traveling through much of Europe. Regardless of wherever life takes her, Madeline is always happiest when serving people.

Fun Fact: When not outside adventuring Madeline can be found playing her harp, reading a good book, or experimenting with art.

Nathan

Meet Nathan...

Position: Guide & Commercial Driver

Favorite Verse: Hebrews 12:2 - Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

An outdoor enthusiast who has spent most of his life outdoors and especially enjoys wilderness canoeing. Hiking, camping and exploring are also on his list of favorite activities along with playing his recorder on mountain tops. Having extensive outdoor leadership training and experience he has been the leader for many large expeditions. To support his community, Nathan is currently co-leading a farm that will assist with the local food security.

Fun Fact: Nathan camperized a school bus and drove it from Alaska to the Grand Canyon with his family

Andrew

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 - Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

An avid snowboarder and urban explorer, Andrew also enjoys summiting peaks. This December he will graduate with a degree in International Rescue & Relief after spending this past semester assisting in rural African clinics. In the future, Andrew hopes to serve his country as an EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Technician.

Fun Fact: Andrew has lived in three countries.

Ben

Hebrews 10:36 - For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Having cliff jumped at the southernmost point in the US, it’s not surprising that Ben’s life goals include chasing the opportunities life offers him and always exploring new and exciting places. When not rafting, you will likely find Ben backpacking, snowboarding, mountain biking, ice climbing or capturing the world through photography. He has served for years in his church’s youth group and is presently serving as director. Ben graduated this May with his degree in Engineering.

Fun fact: Ben can speak fluent Hungarian!

Robby

He lives in the highland deserts of Utah and enjoys camping and playing his cello. Following his love for music, Robby spent two years teaching music at a Christian high school, traveled to Israel on a music tour, and brings experience working with young adults as a camp counselor. As a local resident, Robby enjoys learning about the geology and history of the Moab area and loves to share interesting facts and stories about the local people, wildlife and landscape!

Fun Fact: Robby is a certified in weather spotting.

Meet The Owners

Passionate about life and serving the people around them, Michael and Susan started Way to Moab to provide others with the opportunity to experience the magnificent wilderness they love! They have many years experience leading large multi-month humanitarian expeditions and extensive technical rope and swift water instruction and rescue. Having raised their own two daughters to love the outdoors and serving others, their desire is to inspire individuals, groups and families groups through the blessing of exploring the great outdoors while connecting with each other and ultimately the God who created it all!
